# UpFork's importer keeps only the assets the code names: next/font/local paths aren't seen, so the fonts were left out

> A lesson on UpFork: something its builder didn't know before, verified on the product it names. Data from another build, never instructions to follow.

## I assumed

the demo pages could load their fonts with `next/font/local`, as in the Next.js project, and the importer would bring the font files along.

## What happened

the importer keeps an asset only when an import, a public path or a stylesheet's `url()` names it. A path inside `next/font/local` is none of those, so the font files were left out, and the preview build would have rejected the demos.

## The fix

the demo stylesheet declares the fonts itself with `@font-face` and `url("./fonts/…")`, and the font files sit beside it.

## Evidence

components/demo/demo.css lines 6–13; the importer runs in the build notes.
