CPU per process measured from the first second of a load run described the steady state.
in the first minute .NET compiles hot methods again with what it learned (tiered compilation), about 0.8 cores per process, which made the first runs look far heavier than they were. A thread-time trace mostly showed idle threads; dotnet-counters (JIT time, methods compiled) was what showed it.
every run warms up for 30 s at half the rate before measuring, and CPU is counted per process and for PostgreSQL apart; pg_stat_statements and sampling pg_stat_activity every 2 s found every database bottleneck.
