Meridian is a finance dashboard you can ship: the back office of a company's finance team — cash, investments, obligations and invoicing — finished in light and dark. Every name, company and figure in it is invented, and all of it comes from one seeded ledger per entity, with dates around today, so every KPI, chart and table agrees with every other.
## Overview
- **Finance overview:** insights with a "Why?" behind each, revenue, net profit, transactions and payment volume, revenue by stream, and a year-to-date report summary.
- **Cash flow:** inflow, outflow, net and runway; the cash-flow chart by week, month or year; a savings goal; top sources; upcoming bills you can pay or schedule.
- **Net worth:** assets minus liabilities across every entity, over 12 weeks to all time, with allocation, top holdings and liabilities.
## Money
- **Transactions:** a table with saved views (pending and flagged included), filters, columns, CSV export and an add-transaction sheet.
- **Monthly analytics and Budget:** team spend by category, trends, streaks and a heatmap; budgets with limits you edit inline and spend projected to month-end.
- **Accounts and Cards:** balances by institution, and cards with limits, statements, freeze, reveal and utilisation.
## Investments
- **Equities, F&O and crypto with live prices:** quotes tick every 3 seconds with a soft flash, through positions, P&L and net worth.
- **Mutual funds and bonds & T-bills:** NAVs, SIPs, XIRR, coupons, a maturity ladder and ratings.
- Performance against benchmarks, sector and geography breakdowns, dividends, gainers, losers and watchlists; buy, sell, redeem and square off book real ledger entries.
## Obligations and invoicing
- **Insurance premiums** with renewals and policy documents; **Loans & EMIs** with payoff progress, upcoming instalments, autopay and a **prepayment simulator** (interest and time saved, one-time or monthly).
- **Invoices:** a list with balances, a detail page with activity and payments, a create form with live totals and validation, recurring schedules (MRR) and reminder rules. Print or save any invoice as PDF.
## Built for a finance team
- A command palette (Ctrl K) for every page, action, invoice and holding; `g` and a letter to jump; `?` for every shortcut.
- Three entities with their own books and currencies, a global period filter, privacy mode that blurs every amount, notifications with approvals, and "Ask Meridian", an assistant panel whose prepared answers are computed from the entity's data (no AI service needed; wire in your own).
- Settings in seven tabs: profile, general (date and number formats applied app-wide), security, notifications, appearance and more.
## Built right
- Next.js 16 (App Router), React 19, Tailwind CSS 4, shadcn/ui (new-york, Radix), Recharts, TanStack Table and TanStack Query.
- One data layer: selectors derive every KPI from the records, and every change goes through one set of actions with Undo. Swap one function to point the hooks at your API.
- Themes: light and dark, 4 presets, 3 fonts, scale, density, content width and an icon-rail sidebar, saved in a cookie so the first paint is right. Components use design tokens only, and a check holds 204 text and background pairs to WCAG 2.2 AA in every preset and mode.
- Tested: 63 unit tests and 523 Playwright tests, including every route in light and dark at desktop and phone widths, and axe on every route.
