Your developer page and PDF résumé
A developer's public page, the PDF résumé it prints, and how anyone checks a résumé at upfork.dev/verify.
Updated This page as Markdown
Every developer has a public page at https://upfork.dev/developers/<your-name>, and can print it as a PDF résumé that anyone
can check.
Your page
Edit it in the developer panel, under Profile. It shows:
- your photo, name and headline, and what UpFork checked: your e-mail confirmed, your GitHub account or website proved (which makes you a "Verified developer");
- whether you're taking work, where you are, and your years of experience;
- your views, products, likes, installs and downloads;
- about you (up to 2,000 characters), your skills by field with five levels from Learning to Expert (up to 30), your work and studies (up to 12), the languages you speak (up to 8) and your networks;
- your projects: up to 4 of your own products pinned (otherwise your 4 most popular), live with their real numbers, which UpFork vouches for; and up to 12 projects elsewhere, as you tell them, each with a picture;
- every product you sell.
Your phone is never in the page itself: visitors press Show number, and you choose who may see it: only you, your résumé, members, or everyone, with WhatsApp and Telegram buttons if you like.
The page prints cleanly as it is, too.
The PDF résumé
In the developer panel, under PDF résumé:
- Pick a colour: Ink, Blue, Green or Plum.
- Choose whether your photo and your phone go on it.
- Pick up to 6 of your products, in order, or keep the ones your page leads with.
- Press Download PDF. It takes a few seconds.
It's A4, one or two pages of real, selectable text: your contact details, skills and languages, your experience and
education, your products on UpFork with that day's numbers, your projects elsewhere, and UpFork's seal. Each page's
footer carries "Issued by UpFork", the résumé's number (like R-7KQ2-M9XA) and the date, and the first page has a QR
code.
You can make up to 10 new résumés a day; the same page in the same look on the same day gives back the same document. The panel lists every résumé you've issued and how many times each was checked, and you can withdraw any of them.
How a résumé is checked
Anyone can open upfork.dev/verify, type a résumé's number or scan its QR code, and see one of three answers:
- Genuine: issued by UpFork to you, on that date, with the photo as printed and a link to your live page. Beside it, what UpFork checked as of that day (your e-mail, GitHub account or website, when you joined, your products and their numbers, how you answer bugs), kept apart from what you say about yourself.
- Withdrawn: by you, or by UpFork with a reason.
- Not found.
Dropping the PDF on that page compares its SHA-256 fingerprint, in the browser, with the one UpFork kept when it issued it: "This is exactly the file UpFork issued." The file itself is never uploaded.
