  Rule

  If a custom --text- size vanishes when merged with a text colour, register it with createCn from "cn/config", and alias "cn" in tsconfig paths so shadcn's components use it too.

  shadcn's Drawer header stayed centred though FormSheet passed text-left: the centring is a group-data variant

  What happened

  on phones FormSheet (the create / edit sheets as a full-height drawer) showed its title and description centred while the desktop sheet had them left-aligned (found in the screenshot review).

  Rule

  If a shadcn bottom Drawer's header stays centred despite className="text-left", it centres with group-data-[vaul-drawer-direction=bottom]/drawer-content:text-center: override that same variant.

  shadcn's registry components now import `cn` from the npm package “cn”, not from @/lib/utils

  What happened

  shadcn add button added "cn": "^0.5.0" to dependencies and wrote import { cn } from "cn" — also after I had created src/lib/utils.ts with the clsx/twMerge helper. The registry item https://ui.shadcn.com/r/styles/new-york-v4/button.json…

  Rule

  If a freshly added shadcn component imports { cn } from "cn", that is the registry now: make lib/utils.ts export { cn } from "cn" so your code and shadcn's use one function.
